Admittedly it is kind of hard to advance in fast paces, but I suppose that’s a good thing- and I really like the petting dinosaur feature. The one thing I request is that we can name the individual dinosaurs. I have a Spinosaurus, and I would love nothing more than to officially name him Spencer. I also love my raptor (standard) and want to name him something cute too. I highly recommend this game, but it is a bit of a waiting game, so if you download, prepare to have some patience. Also, I missed the Echo event and is pretty bummed because she’s my favorite. The named dinosaurs should be able to accessed. I don’t care if it costs a ridiculous about of bucks, or even like 5-10 USD for the four main raptors. I want Echo so badly, but I had issues with my tablet during the event. So maybe make Bumpy, Ghost, Red, Echo, Blue, Panthera, Tiger, Charlie, and Delta more accessible if you miss the events.

Returning from Jurassic Park: Builder is the Arena mode, where players can create a team of up to three prehistoric creatures and fight against other creatures. Unlike the previous game, the fighting engine has been completely revamped. A player can choose to either attack, defend or reserve a move during any one turn and any reserved moves are added to the next turn, for a maximum of eight moves in a turn. In September 2020, Ubisoft announced Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game – Complete Edition, a remaster of the original game including both DLC packs’ contents, for a January 14, 2021 release on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows, Xbox One, and Stadia. On January 8, 2021, it was revealed that Limited Run Games would release a physical version of the game, alongside several special edition releases with additional physical bonuses.

While video games have come a long way over the past years in terms of graphics, gameplay, etc., the support for retro and indie games is as strong as ever, with games like Undertale, Cuphead, and Hades being huge successes. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is a welcome addition to this category and truly has something for everyone with its iconic set of characters for multiplayer fun, captivating single-player story mode, and extremely enjoyable extra game modes. Day-one fans like myself will thoroughly enjoy revisiting all 13 levels, as will those who never had the opportunity to play the original game until it was too late. I know multiple people who are huge fans of the movie adaptation and subsequent soundtrack but never got the chance to play the game. I’m sure there are tons of other people around the world who fit into the same category. This release is a glorious opportunity for them to get the experience they probably never thought they would get after the game was stripped from all platforms in 2014. Overall, while Scott Pilgrim vs. The World may not be a perfect game, the positives definitely outweigh the negatives and make it a worthwhile gaming experience in 2021. I do not regret buying this game by any means, and I strongly recommend the re-release whether you’re a Scott Pilgrim mega-fan looking for a nostalgic adventure, or a total newbie that wants to dive into Scott’s chaotic action-packed quest for romance for the very first time.
